Girls Time Club’s Conservation Experience at Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust

At Global Sojourns Giving Circle, we believe in providing girls with opportunities to learn, grow and connect with the world around them. That’s why we were thrilled that Girl’s Time Club Mentors arranged a visit to Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust. Mentor Procedure Chikosi shared her excitement about the day’s activities, and we couldn’t wait to share the highlights with you. Here’s her message.

“During our visit, we engaged in a dynamic session covering crucial topics in wildlife conservation. Poaching, anti-poaching effort, and human-wildlife conflict were among the thought-provoking discussions we had. Our goal was to deepen the girls’ understanding of these challenges and explore their role in conserving wildlife.

“The highlight of the day was our encounter with a fascinating animal—the hyena. The girls had the opportunity to learn about this unique creature in detail, gaining insights into its behavior, habitat and conservation status. It was an eye-opening experience that sparked curiosity and passion for wildlife preservation.

“But the excitement didn’t end there. We also had the privilege of interacting with elephants— moment that left us in awe of these majestic creatures. The girls witnessed firsthand the importance of protecting their natural habitats and the significance of coexisting with wildlife.
