In just four months since its opening, the Youth Mentorship Center (YMC) in Livingstone, Zambia has blossomed into a vibrant hub of creativity, learning, and community. Our Mentors and young people have been immersed in an inspiring environment, beautifully brought to life with colorful murals by Mentor Kangwa Yombwe from Friends of Change Boys Club. The center’s welcoming ambiance is further enriched by vibrant and thoughtfully chosen furnishings, creating a space that feels both fun and inclusive.

Collaboration has been key to our success. We’ve partnered with YouthUp Foundation, offering young people hands-on skills in cosmetology, photography, and baking, empowering them to explore entrepreneurial paths. We also welcomed Sista Sista Foundation Zambia, a feminist organization, which provides invaluable insights into creating safe, empowering spaces for all.

Our alumni also actively participated in a town hall meeting hosted by the National Youth Development Council, giving them a platform to voice their perspectives. We also collaborated with ABSA Bank Zambia, providing our youth with essential workforce skills and certification opportunities.

The YMC is more than just a center; it’s a thriving community where mentorship, creativity, and collaboration converge. We are deeply grateful to our donors and partners for making this journey possible and are excited for what the future holds.
