Ray of Hope’s Community Library

Access to books and a quiet place to study is very limited to those living in Livingstone.  Ray of Hope has set up a library within their centrally located office and has already established a reputation of providing a valuable community service.

Demand for professional books such as business management and information systems is high.  Ray of Hope has started to stock such materials and charges a monthly fee of 20,000 Kwacha ($4) for access to the library.  They have a computer and hope to have access to internet in the future.

Access is free to economically vulnerable children.  GS Giving Circle members have contributed books for young readers and we plan to add to the collection.
