Jikeleza

It quickly became clear to us that Jikeleza is committed to empowering girls and… excels at it.

Jikeleza uses dance to help girls in the townships surrounding Cape Town, South Africa stay away from distractions such as drug and alcohol abuse and teen pregnancy.  Jikeleza provides dance lessons, educational support and opportunities for children to perform and expand their worlds.

We support workshops that provide the girls with life skills training, opportunities to share their concerns, experiences to learn acceptance, overcome challenges and to have some fun in a safe environment.
