Advisors and In-Kind Supporters

Suzi Peel

Suzi has worked with and for children all her life, helping them reach their full potential. Since 2000 she has traveled to sub-Saharan Africa many times to work with Government Ministries, religious groups, international and local non-profits to improve their care and support to children affected and orphaned by AIDS. As there are an estimated 17.5 million children orphaned by AIDS in 2010 she supports groups such as the GS Giving Circle who expand awareness of the way to work.  “The GS Giving Circle nurtures mature and informed philanthropists who will contribute to the “ripple effect” in the widest sense.”

Nazir Ahmad

As president of Giving Works Inc., Nazir provides strategic advice to influential public service entities including UNICEF and the World Bank and to innovative NGOs and grantmakers.  Nazir is also one of the originators of the giving circle concept.   He has helped guide the GS Giving Circle with a formal strategic planning session and with frequent input and feedback.

Alexandra Hasson

Alexandra is a designer and artist and has provided countless hours of design work to the GS Giving Circle.  Her creativity flows and we’ve been blessed to have her design all kinds of materials for us, including our newsletter.  She joined us on our 2008 trip to visit the projects so her designs are inspired by first-hand experience in Africa.

Kendra Howe

A veteran communications specialist, Kendra has worked with corporate and non-profit clients for many, many years.  She provides insightful and valuable guidance to the GS Giving Circle communications efforts.

Samuel Hasson

Though busy working on his post doc at the National Institutes of Health, Sam has made time to set up our website and to help us with our myriad of technology questions and needs. A micro-biologist by profession, he is also a wiz on the computer.
