JOIN THE GIVING CIRCLE
We are people of all ages and financial means, who come together—in person or virtually—to support partner organizations in southern African communities. The beauty of Africa and the enduring spirit of its people have touched many of us, and we share a sincere desire to help African children facing with poverty, abuse and other barriers to health and happiness. And we all believe that educating and empowering girls can unleash a healthy transformation and change lives for the better in this region.
Giving Circle members enjoy an opportunity to connect with African culture, and we learn how to give back to its people in a sustainable way without doing harm. Some of us travel to visit our funded projects and meet face to face with the partners and participants we support. Other members stay connected electronically from home.
Please do consider joining us in the Giving Circle, and/or when we travel to Africa next.
TRAVEL TO AFRICA
GSGC members have a unique opportunity to travel as part of a small group to visit the people and projects that we support. Independent trips can be organized at any time for members, their friends and families. Travelers will meet local GSGC partners and some of the children they support, learning more about the communities and special challenges they face. Of course, travelers will also experience the beauty of Sub-Saharan Africa on safari.
Check out this podcast describing past GSGC trips and see photos from a past trip.
Our associated travel company, Global Sojourns, organizes GSGC trips to Africa so we can ensure a high-quality travel experience. Off-the-beaten-path and outdoor adventures are balanced with cultural insight and interactions with locals. It’s fun, meaningful and memorable, and respectful of the land, people and wildlife.
